This mystery is based on the poem “The Post-German Ballad of Sopot” by Polish poet Miron Białoszewski and urban legends about Villa Irmer's grim past and its subsequent haunting. It's based in Poland and is inspired by themes of war, displacement, language barriers, and lost connection to local history.

Stories about the haunting of Villa Irmer stretch back to the end of World War II, when previous residents allegedly met a grim fate.

They have been recorded in poems and books, but over time reports of paranormal phenomena at the villa have faded, and those from the past have been put down to the traumas of war and displacement.

Recently, rumors of unexplained phenomena at the Villa have returned, and with multiplied force. Apparently, beyond the typical manifestations of haunting, there is a mixing of realities. With each passing day, the house looks more and more like it did in '45.
