The Empty Crown
A downloadable module
Belara wants the crown from an ancient tomb. She calls it a family inheritance. Every royal name inside has been hacked away.
But the tomb remembers. Stone mouths steal voices and repeat lies. Raiders are trapped among the dead. Each theft, killing and knowing falsehood tightens the curse, until Zhara rises from the Watching Well to reclaim what was taken.
The Empty Crown is a compact, illustrated six-room dungeon written for Crush Your Enemies, sword-and-sorcery MÖRK BORG hack. It can also be run with MÖRK BORG or other compatible rules with little or no conversion.
Inside:
- A looped six-room dungeon with two entrances and a secret shortcut
- A rising Curse driven by lies, bloodshed and stolen burial treasure
- Evocative, compact room keys designed for quick use at the table
- A d6 tomb-encounter table
- Three named raiders who can bargain, surrender or fight
- Othar, the erased queen Zhara, her undead guardian and several dangerous treasures
- Four possible endings shaped by what the characters return or steal
- Four fully illustrated A5 pages for print or screen
